Q:Why DASA:
A: If you are looking for the word "Quality" in education, DASA is the best choice to be in !! In fact it is our ulitmate goal. The genesis of this venture to strive for quality came from the genesis of DASA itself. It was Founded out of need to provide quality animators for DACL (Digital Asia Concepts Limited) founded by Mr.Shyam Ramanna who is also the Founder and Chairman of the top production studio in India, Crest Animation studio. In fact the first students mentored by Shyam Ramanna himself not only became top-notch professionals, but many have started their own production houses.
The legacy is continued to India and the journey to deliver the best quality remains. Since years DASA has implemented the concept of "Specialisation" and a course structure based on "Producion Pipeline" for the first time in indian education scenario. This has became the breakthough in the cliched way of imparting education which is based on teaching softwares rather than technology. This brought a revolutionary change in all the major education institutions. DASA currently offers the most number of specialisations than any other institution who still continue to work on the softwares-based- teaching model.
Q: WHat is different in the Course Structure of DASA?
A: Industry oriented syllabus: DASA stresses more on technology and not on tools. Taking on the most contemporary movements in art industry. DASA provides courses that are not only modernistic but also as per the needs of the industry, we lay stress on the current trends of the industry.
Q: Good Faculty is problem everywhere. What the Faculty scene at DASA?
A: Firstly we don't hire (just) faculties... These are Professional artists having years of experience in Indias most renowned studios. Importantly they dont work just as fulltime faculties but apart from a taking a certain batches in a day they have a seperate time space for R&D and also assist students in production work.
This team of skilled and experienced lecturers, trained in the most advanced systems and latest teaching methodologies and proven in real-world productions offers students a vibrant and long-term education. We have faculties and visiting professionals who have been trained and have years of experience in top institutions and studios such as Animation Mentor, Warner Bros., Contiloe Films, Red Chillies Entertainment, DQ, Jump games, etc.
We believe that Teachers are the torch bearers of any program. The Faculty members of DASA have been carefully chosen for their exceptional skills, expertise and practical experience.
Q: The study material offered is also very important. What resources you offer?
A: Digital library with wealth of information in the form of books, manuals, DVDs, CD ROMs, press kit: If you believe that creative education can not be exhaustive you need to visit our library and you will be compelled to think again. We have an unrivalled collection of books and digital media content. We have one of the Largest Resource centre for magazines, publications and the best books on animation.
Digital Asia School of Animation training members have written many animation books which are available to purchase from CIE Institute of Electronics, USA (http://www.cie-wc.edu). Some of the major leading titles are: Hair/Fur Simulation , Muscle simulation, Facial Animation for movies, Fluid Simulation, NURBS Modeling with Rhinoceros, Movie rendering with Mental Ray etc.

A: Digital Asia School of Animation (DASA) has excellent placement opportunities for its students. DASA has close links to potential employers and networking opportunities. With the studio having strong links, students have bright prospects of taking part in live projects and collaborations with key players in the creative industries.
Campus Division: DASA has an extensive campus division with more than 20 companies of national and international level recruiting students based on their specialisations and demo reels. A good demo-reel is a must for placements and hence faculties provide important feedback on improvement of the reels guiding them with the Do's and Dont's in making a demo-reel. These inputs are very vital at this phase to crack the selection process of the companies.
Q: Do you have an Alumni Committee:
A: DASA has its own Alumni Committee popularly known as “DASA Alcom”, which is dedicated in maintaining a strong relationship with the students who have passed out. This association is an endeavor to stimulate the vibrant alumni network and to provide a platform to share thoughts and experiences. It serves as the link between the alumni, the institute, the existing student community and the faculty. The committee is dedicated towards strengthening the alumni network by facilitating the communication, interaction and discussions between the DASA community members.
